Team India has jumped to number four in the latest released ICC Test Team Rankings (after the annual update) while Pakistan, even after winning the Test series against Bangladesh 1-0, have slipped to number six. Before the annual update, Pakistan were number three while India were number seven.

Pakistan, who lost both the ODI and T20 series against Bangladesh, came out as a different team in the second Test after a rusty show on a flat deck at Khulna in the first Test. Azhar Ali lead the charge with his first double hundred and leggie Yasir Shah took a total of 7 wickets as Pakistan crushed hapless Tigers by 328 runs.

As for the other teams, England have dropped to fifth after drawing the Test series against West Indies. The three-match series started off with a draw at the North Sound. England then pulled off a great win at St. George’s but the hosts Windies made their way back in the third Test and won it by 5 wickets. Even after gaining a 68-run first innings lead, Alastair Cook’s men faltered in the second innings on the tricky wicket at Barbados but Darren Bravo and young Jermaine Blackwood kept calm and sealed the deal for Windies on the third day of the match.

South Africa head the charts with 130 ratings followed by Australia, who will look to get close in the gap in their upcoming Test series against West Indies and the Ashes.
