Sachin Tendulkar Receives Heartwarming Letter From Six-Year Old 1

Sachin Tendulkar’s biopic ‘Sachin: A Billion Dreams’ might have received several accolades for the way it has shown the legendary batsman’s life on and off the field, but the praise from a six-year old perhaps top them all.

Directed by award-winning writer and director James Erskine, the biopic traced Tendulkar’s journey from a naughty and wild curly-haired boy to the biggest and most influential cricket star in the world. What made the movie even more enjoyable is the fact that Sachin himself is narrating the story. As expected, the film was very well received by the viewers and was praised by one and all.

But it Tendulkar’s Sachin’s heart was blown away by the praise he received from a six-year old girl named Taara. The little girl had sent a handwritten letter to Tendulkar, stating how she enjoyed the movie thoroughly before asking for his permission to meet him. Taara’s gesture so moved the former India batsman that he took to Twitter to post a picture of that letter and thanked his little fan for the praise.

“Hi, Taara! Thank you so much for writing to me.. I’m really glad that you enjoyed the movie. Keep smiling :),” he tweeted.

One of the greatest players of all time, Tendulkar retired from the game in 2014 with almost every major batting record to his name. He represented India in record 200 Tests, and 463 ODIs, scoring over 15,000 runs in both the formats with the help of a staggering 100 centuries and 164 half-centuries. He also took 200 wickets in Test and ODIs combined.
