Former England international Kevin Pietersen was partially arrested after having a golf swing in the airport of Geneva, Switzerland.

The 37-year old, who has last represented England back in January 2014, has posted a picture of him put in a cell at the airport on his twitter account.

His tweet read: “Held in a cell in Geneva airport today. That wasn’t fun! Partial arrest for a HOPELESS golf swing!

Pietersen, who is one of the most devastating English players of all time, is looking to make a comeback into international cricket with South Africa as he will be eligible to play for Proteas by 2019.

After getting sacked from the national team post the Ashes defeat in 2013-14, Pietersen played in county cricket and across the world in all the leading T20 leagues. But despite his incredible performances over the past four years, England board has continued to neglect him, and he might now never play for them again.

As far the incident is concerned, Pietersen has revealed that he was held in the airport cell after apparently having a “hopeless golf swing” as mentioned by Pietersen himself. Although no-one released any statement, the news is quite a shocker with Pietersen looking a little low in his spirits in the pic posted on twitter.

More details on the matter could be revealed in the coming hours by the airport authorities or by the player himself. The charges are still unknown despite player letting the fans know that it is only a partial arrest.
