The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced that team India will play 11 T20s in build up to the World T20 at home in 2016.
While declaring the squad for the Bangladesh tour, the BCCI also released team India’s itinerary till next February. After the series in Bangladesh, the side will travel to Zimbabwe for ODI and T20 series. In August, Virat Kohli led Indian Test team will head to Sri Lanka for its first major Test assignment this year.
After that, they will face the Protea challenge at home for close to two months. A total of 12 matches will be played out of which, 4 will be Tests, 5 ODIs and 3 crucial T20s. The series against Pakistan is not yet finalized and if it doesn’t happen then the team will get two months time to freshen up for the challenge Down Under – where they will fight for the Commonwealth Bank Trophy in 5 ODIs and 3 T20s. Next up would be a three-match series (T20) at home followed by the all important World Cup.
The dates of each series is yet to be finalized.

June: One-off Test and 3 ODIs in Bangladesh
July: 3 ODIs and 2 T20s in Zimbabwe
August: 3 Tests in Sri Lanka
September – October: 4 Tests, 5 ODIs and 3 T20s vs South Africa (at home)
December: Series vs Pakistan (not yet decided)
January: 5 ODIs and 3 T20s in Australia
February: 3 T20s vs Sri Lanka (at home)
