As per BBC sports, Manchester United have decided not to press ahead with the Radamel Falcao’s loan deal and will not sign him on a permanent deal from Monaco.

Falcao has seen his form drift away as the season has gone on and his continuous lack of goals has prompted United not to extend his loan deal.

Manchester United had to pay £43million for the striker if they wanted to sign El Tigre in the summer. Given how Falcao has played this season, 43million looks way too much for the Colombian striker.

BBC has confirmed the news of Falcao not staying at Old Trafford next season, however player has expressed his wish to continue playing his football in England. Chelsea and Liverpool have been linked with a move for the player.

Falcao has been posting thank you messages on his Instagram account displaying his affection for the club and thanking the Man United fans for their exceptional support throughout the season.

Antonio Valencia also posted his thank you message for Falcao on his Instagram account. These all things indicated towards the striker’s exit from the club but this official statement from Manchester United have now confirmed the news.

Radamel Falcao was loved by the United fans but they too ran out of patience with the striker who came with a lot of promise but failed to deliver for Man United.

The Old Trafford club now desperately needs to find a goal-scoring striker after the news of Robin Van Persie’s exit from the club broke earlier in the paper as well.

Strikers like Edinson Cavani, Robert Lewandowski and Jackson Martinez have been linked with a move to Old Trafford in the summer.
