The Pakistan team celebrated the return of cricket back to the nation with a disciplined victory against the team from Zimbabwe in the first T20 game. With the victory, they have given their fans at home something to cheer about after 6 years.
However, the Pakistan team coach Waqar Younis felt that even thought the team produced a brilliant performance on the field to get the victory that the team is badly missing the world class spinner Saeed Ajmal.
Waqar Younis praised his team’s performance after the match said that the national team was in desperate need of top class off-spinners. He added that the mystery of Ajmal and his control is hard to replace and that his loss has affected the balance of the team as a whole.
Ajmal who has picked up 85 wickets in 64 T20s and 184 wickets in 113 ODIs has been the strike-bowler for Pakistan for some time now even in conditions that do not favor spin bowling, was suspended form bowling in all form of cricket due to an illegal action according to the rules of the ICC.
However, he came back with a changed action hoping to get back into wicket taking form but lost his place in the team at home against Zimbabwe after a poor performance in the small series against Bangladesh.
