Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh has asked former Australian skipper Michael Clarke to come out of retirement and play for Aussies again.
The 37-year old believes that Aussies have stopped producing top-class batsmen and has bashed the current team over no quality in their batting.
Michael Clarke, who took an early retirement from cricket due to injuries, has last led Australia to a world cup triumph back in 2015 at the age of 33. His decision came as a shock to many as most of the top crop players are playing well into their 30s before taking a call on their retirement.
The 36-year old Clarke is currently working as a commentator and analyst in the ongoing India vs Australia series. He had expressed his disappointment over Aussies falling short of over 40 runs in the final overs in the third ODI which has triggered Bhajji’s opinion on the matter.
Harbhajan’s tweet read: “Mate u need to come out of your retirement and start playing again I think. The era of Aussies producing top batsmans is over I feel.No quality.“

David Warner, Steve Smith, are the only reliable players for Australia in ODI setup as they have been delivering on a consistent basis over the past couple of years. However, the middle order remains the major issue for Aussies as the lack of experience, and decision-making is costing the visitors dearly against India.
India are already 2-0 up in the series against Australia and might very well sweep the series if Steve Smith and Co. do not find a proper solution to their problems. Meanwhile, it remains to be seen if Clarke would think over his retirement after Harbhajan Singh’s tweet.
