Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya is slowly growing his name in world cricket after consistent performances for the team in recent months.

His father Himanshu Pandya is a proud man as both his sons are doing so well in cricket. His younger son Hardik is slowly becoming an important player for India in limited-overs formats.

The 23-year old is considered to be the next big thing as he has fantastic hard hitting skills and decent bowling skills. Hardik has helped India seal the ODI series against Australia in Indore after yet another all-round performance.

His great performances for India in recent months meant his fan base is growing at exponential rate. However, his father believes that cricketers get a lot of attention especially from females and does not seem to have an issue with it.

“I’m not aware of why my son is getting female attention. Maybe it’s due to his playing style and role in Indian cricket. But we don’t have any issue, let him enjoy his life. This happens with all cricketers. When they come in the limelight, they get attention from all quarters,” quoted Himanshu Pandya.

Pandya has been one of the best ODI players in the world this year as he scored more than 400 runs and backed it up with 25 wickets so far. He is being tried and tested at various positions as Kohli, and Ravi Shastri are giving the maximum possible exposure to him.

Himanshu Pandya believes that his son can hit six sixes in an over and feels that female attention will not affect the youngster. Pandya has already proved his hitting skills by managing three consecutive sixes in an over, four times already in his career.

“He is mentally strong and his game will not be affected due to the sudden female attention he is getting. He hit three consecutive sixes recently. This was the fourth occasion. We are waiting for the day when he hits six sixes in an over. That day will not be far off,” he conceded.

Herschelle Gibbs and Yuvraj Singh are the only players to perform the feat in international cricket and considering the power that Pandya possess; it might not be long before he joins that list.
