As per the latest reports, Manchester United flop Luis Nani might move to Italian club AS Roma this summer. The 28-year old Portugal International will return to Old Trafford after his season-long loan spell at his boyhood club Sporting Lisbon.

The Red Devils boss Louis van Gaal considers Nani as surplus to his requirements as he already has many wingers in his squad. Nani had difficult times at Old Trafford for the last few seasons due to injuries and below par performances.

The player is reportedly not in the plans of Louis van Gaal and want the Red devils want to offload as he is costing them too much. Nani currently earns £110,000-a-week at Old Trafford which is making it tough for other clubs to match his wages.

Sporting Lisbon want to make his move permanent but left him as they can’t match his wages. Roma are willing to spend £10 million for the player but Nani needs to take a wage cut to make the move possible.

The player had an impressive season with Sporting Lisbon as he scored 11 goals in 35 appearances. The 28-year old has also drawn interest from Inter Milan who are looking to revamp their squad this summer and Everton.
