Watch: Australian Players Enjoy Their Practice Session With An Unusual Game 1

Australia might have lost the ongoing five-match series against India, but it has not led to a gloomy mood in the dressing room as the players were seen having fun in the practise session ahead of the penultimate game.

The fun, however, was extracted from a bizarre or rather a great drill where the players formed a huddle and roared in excitement every time any member rolled a giant dice. It is a new game introduced by the Australian support staff for a new approach to the session.

Here is the clip posted by Cricket Australia showing the players enjoying the practise session with the dice:

Well, the team management would hope that the latest training method changes the mood of the players and they perform well in the upcoming game and win it to avoid a humiliating whitewash.

The reigning world champions have struggled to do well away from home in the last few months. They were whitewashed 5-0 by South Africa last year which was their first whitewash in five-match series and earlier this year they also lost the Chappell-Hadlee series 2-0. They exited the Champions Trophy at the group stage after losing one against England while two games ended were washed out. And if they do not improve by leaps and bounds in the upcoming match, their dismal away run is already going to get extended.

India recently moved to the top of the ICC rankings in the 50-over format, and captain Virat Kohli will be desperate to lead his team to a historical whitewash.

Meanwhile, M. Chinnaswamy Stadium’s assistant curator Prashanth Rao has ruled out any possibility of a run fest in the fourth match on Thursday (September 28). The last time these two teams had played an ODI in Bengaluru, it was an absolute run fest with India piling up 383 after Rohit Sharma’s impressive 209-run knock. In reply, Australia had scored 326.

“I won’t say it will be full of runs but it will be a decent ODI pitch. It should make for an evenly-poised game,” Prashanth Rao was quoted as saying by Sportstar.

“During the IPL, although the pitch was on the slower side, teams had no complaints and we got to see good contests.”
