India vs Australia 2017: 4th ODI, Bengaluru
Australia defeated India in the 4th ODI by 21 runs played at the M. Chinnaswamy stadium in Bengaluru, courtesy a brilliant century by David Warner.
Warner scored 124 runs off 119 deliveries. He got equally well support from his opening partner Aaron Finch who also scored 94 runs. For India, Rohit Sharma was the top scorer with 65 runs. The fifth and final ODI will be played in Nagpur on Sunday (1st October 2017).
Duleep Trophy Final 2017
Washington Sundar spun India Red to a victory over India Blue with his career-best figures of six for 87 in the second innings. India Red won the match by a massive 163 runs margin. Sundar got adjudged the man of the match in the final as well. Prithvi Shaw also impressed with his first innings century.
Sri Lanka’s tour of Pakistan 2017
Sri Lanka won the toss and chose to bat first in the first Test getting played at the Sheikh Zayed stadium in Abu Dhabi. Sri Lanka finished the first days play at 227-4 at stumps.
Karunaratne scored a well made 93, whereas, their skipper Dinesh Chandimal was playing unbeaten at 60. Yasir Shah finished with figures of 2-59.
Bangladesh’s tour of South Africa 2017:
Bangladesh won the toss and chose to field first in the first Test. The decision backfired, as the hosts completely dominated day one’s play.
South Africa finished day one on 298-1 at stumps. No bowler picked up a wicket, as Aiden Markram was run-out just before a well-deserved century. He was out for 97 in maiden Test innings. Dean Elgar scored a brilliant 128 not out. Hashim Amla was also at the crease on 68.
The Ben Stokes Saga
Ben Stokes and Alex Hales have been suspended by the England Cricket Board (ECB) and will not get considered for selection for the international matches until further notice. Stokes was earlier named in the England’s squad for the Ashes. The duo was involved in a night bar brawl earlier this week.
Europa League 2017: BATE vs Arsenal (Group Stage)
Arsenal won their second match in the Europa league, as they defeated BATE 4-2, thanks to a brace by Theo Walcott. Arsenal was leading 3-1 in the first half and netted another goal via Oliver Giroud.
Sergio Aguero Injured in a Car Accident
Sergio Aguero broke his ribs in a car accident in Amsterdam and is reported to be out of action for two months. Manchester City’s official handle confirmed the news. Aguero was in Amsterdam attending a concert when his taxi met with an accident.
Carlo Ancelotti Sacked by Bayern Munich
Bundesliga Champions Bayern Munich sacked their manager Carlo Ancelotti following their 3-0 defeat against PSG in the second group stage match of the Champion’s League. Bayern Munich has been struggling with their performances in the domestic and European competition. His replacement is yet to be named by the management.

Manchester City’s this year’s defensive signing Benjamin Mendy has been ruled out of action due to injury. His absence could affect Manchester City’s winning run and their title contention.
Formula 1: Malaysian Grand Prix
Max Verstappen finished top in the first practice session of the rain-affected Malaysian Grand Prix. Fernando Alonso finished third in the session. Lewis Hamilton finished sixth.
