Telugu Titans came up with a terrific raiding performance to hammerTamil Thalaivas 58-37 in Vivo Pro Kabaddi Season 5. Three Titans’ players got a super 10 with Rahul Chaudhari leading the chart with 16 points. Nilesh Salunke contributed 11 points whereas Mohsin got 11 points. Ajay Thakur had a brilliant game for Tamil Thalaivas and scored 20 points but was let down by the defence. Tamil Thalaivas defence scored just three points.
Telugu Titans are fourth in Zone B with 48 points from 20 matches whereas Tamil Thalaivas are fifth with 34 points from 17 matches.
Rahul Chaudhari opened Telugu Titans’ account in the first minute with a successful raid as they led 3-0 after three minutes. Prapanjan got Tamil Thalaivas’ first point in the third minute. Ajay Thakur made a super raid in the next minute to give Tamil Thalaivas 5-3 lead.
Nilesh Salunke made a super raid in the sixth minute as Telugu Titans led 9-6. Telugu Titans inflicted an all out in the eighth minute to lead 14-8. Telugu Titans scored six points without any reply from Thalaivas as they led 20-8 in the 11th minute. Telugu Titans inflicted the second all out in the 14th minute to lead 25-11. Telugu Titans took a commanding 30-15 at the end of the first half.
Titans began the second half with a bang as they inflicted an all out in the 22nd minute to lead 36-15. Ajay Thakur tried to get Thalaivas back in the game as he scored two raid points in three minutes as they trailed 25-44 in the 34th minute. It was Tamil Thalaivas defence which let them down as they struggled to contain Titans raiders.
Mohsen made a successful super raid in the 37th minute as Telugu Titans led 49-33. Telugu Titans wrapped up the match with inflicting another all out in the 40th minute to win 58-37.
