Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko has reportedly turned out the chance to join Liverpool as a part of cash plus player deal for Raheem Sterling. The Citizens are very keen to land Raheem Sterling this summer after the player rejected new contract at Anfield.
City wants to add Dzeko in to the deal as Liverpool are long admirers of the player and wants a quality striker this summer. However, the 29-year old who is surplus to City’s requirements rejected a move to Anfield as decides to stay at Etihad next summer.
This meant Manchester City need to come up with a bigger transfer fee for Sterling this summer which will put them under pressure to adhere to FFP regulations. The 20-year old has drawn interest frm the likes of Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City.
City are looking to come up with an improved offer to fend off interest from the competitors. City are considered favorites to sign the winger but will have offer big amount to test Liverpool’s resolve.
