Reports suggest that Arsenal are preparing £28.7 million bid to sign Borussia Dortmund ace Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. The 26-year old is expected to move away from Dortmund this summer and has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid.
But Bild in Germany reports that the Gunners are front runners to sign him as they are willing to offer as much as £28.7 million for the talented striker. With Dortmund failing to qualify for Champions League next season, many players are expected to leave and Gunners are plotting to lure the player with Champions League football.
The 26-year has been a sensation for Dortmund since he signed them in 2013. The Gabon international is in fine form as he scored 25 goals for Dortmund last season.
Arsenal are in the market for a quality striker and has been heavily linked with the likes of Karim Benzema and Jackson Martinez and having fallen behind in signing those stars, Aubameyang has emerged as their top attacking target.
Aubameyang would form the fastest striking force in entire Europe if he signed for Arsenal along side Theo Walcott and Alexis Sanchez.
Can the transfer really happen?
Aubameyang is one of the finest strikers in Europe and Arsenal are in striker crisis since Robin van Persie left, the Gabon international would be the perfect choice for Wenger. Should Aubameyang consider to leave Dortmund, Arsenal would be a viable option as he would enjoy successful first team football with Gunners unlike other big clubs.
