The third ODI in Mirpur turned out to be yet another one sided clash. This time around however, the winning team was different, as India comprehensively defeated the hosts by 77 runs. With this win, the Indians can finally end the tour with happy memories. A loss in the third ODI, could have been catastrophic for the Indians as it would have attracted severe criticism.
The visitors were put into bat by Mashrafe Mortaza, who had no hesitation in bowling first. The Indians, led by the enigmatic MS Dhoni in the middle raked up 318 in their 50 overs. It was a combined batting effort as Dhawan, Dhoni, Rayudu and Raina made healthy contributions. The bowling too responded well, as they found their confidence back.
