Manchester United boss Louis Van Gaal is willing to give his team a total new shape by signing four superstars in this summer and willing to spend a total of ₤150 million according to The Mirror.
Van Gaal wants to sign Bastian Schweinstiger, Sergio Ramos, Karim Benzema and Jasper Cillissen and is ready to spend ₤150 million for the quartet.
The Dutchman is looking for world class talents with experience rather than buying young prospects. Van Gaal is looking to contest for the league title this season and with UCL commitment this season, he knows his squad is not good enough for challenging in both competitions.
The Dutchman is a huge admirer of German World Cup winner midfield maestro Bastian Schweinstiger. He managed him earlier at Bayern and believes that getting the experienced German International would fill the void in his central midfield area. The German international is reporetdly unhappy at Bayern and willing to move and would welcome a move to his former manager’s club. He has only 12 months remaining in his contract and won’t be offered a new contract according to German newspaper BILD.
Sergio Ramos has been linked with a move to Old Trafford in recent weeks also. Reports are suggesting that he is not happy with Real Madrid management with the decision of sacking Carlo Ancelotti and is looking to leave the club. Manchester United are in desperate need of a quality centre back and is looking to capitalise this situation and sign the World Cup Winner and two times Euro Cup winner.
United goalkeeper David De Gea has been linked with a move to Real Madrid for a long time. Van Gaal is looking to sign Jasper Cillissen to replace outgoing De Gea. Cillissen is a Dutch International who plays for Dutch side Ajax. Van Gaal used him in the FIFA World Cup 2014 ahead of star goalkeeper like Tim Krul and Michel Vorm and he did not let him down. Van Gaal wants to sign Jasper to fill De Gea’s void.
Karim Benzema is another player whom Van Gaal wants in his team. The French International who plays for Real Madrid performed very well last season. United are looking for a entre forward with Robin Van Persie’s consistent fitness problems. Javier Chicharito Hernandez is also out of favour and may be going out of Old Trafford. Getting Benzema would be a huge statement shown by the English club and would help them to contest for the League title next season.
