Younis Khan registered his name in the list of cricketers who played hundred and more Tests. The veteran Test batsman of Pakistan becomes the 63rd cricketer in the history of Test cricket with hundred Test caps in his credit while Sri Lanka take on Pakistan at Colombo.
The prolific stroke maker of red ball debuted against Sri Lanka in 1st March, 2000 at Rawalpindi. When he made his debut only twenty one players have found their name in the elite club of hundred Tests. Since his debut forty one players made hundred Test matches appearance; and he become the 42nd Test cricketers of this century who is playing Test cricket with distinction.
He, before coming into the pitch for 177th time in his career has notched up 8594 runs with a spectacular average of 53.71 in 99 Test. He is the third in the list of players who has aggregated more than eight thousand runs after 100 Tests match appearance. He got out off Dhammika Prasad scoring only six runs in his 100th Test match appearance in the first innings.
