India Vs New Zealand: India Squad

The BCCI on Saturday announced the Indian squad to play in the limited overs series against New Zealand scheduled to begin on 22nd October. The selectors have dropped KL Rahul, Umesh Yadav and Mohammed Shami from the squad which played against Australia. Dinesh Karthik has been retained from the T20 squad. Shardul Thakur has also earned a call back in the squad.

South Africa Vs Bangladesh, 1st ODI, Kimberley
Bangladesh won the toss and chose to bat first in the first ODI against South Africa at the Beers Diamond Oval in Kimberley. AB De Villiers was back in the squad for South Africans, and David Miller is playing in his 100th One Day International. Bangladesh was 126/3 at the time of writing with Mushfiqur Rahim and Mahmadullah at the crease.
ENGLISH PREMIER LEAGUE, Week 8

Manchester City Vs Stoke City
Manchester City took a two-point lead over Manchester United in the premier league table. City thrashed Stoke City 7-2 as Gabriel Jesus scored twice in the match. This was the third consecutive game in which City scored five or more goals.
Liverpool Vs Manchester United
Manchester United and Liverpool played a goalless draw at Anfield in one of the much-awaited matches of the season. Jose Mourinho won the tactical battle in the match. However, the credit must be given to United’s goalkeeper for his excellent display of goalkeeping throughout the match.
Crystal Palace Vs Chelsea
Crystal Palace managed to pull out a shock victory over defending champions Chelsea and got their first win of the season. They won the match 2-1.
Watford Vs Arsenal
Watford defeated Arsenal 2-1 and moved above Chelsea in the league table to the fourth spot with 15 points.
BUNDESLIGA, Week 8
Bayern Munich Vs Freiburg
Bayern Munich played their first match under the returning Jupp Heynckes and thrashed Freiburg 5-0 and closed down the gap on league leaders Borussia Dortmund by two points.
Borussia Dortmund Vs RB Leipzig
Pierre Aubameyang’s brace against Leipzig went to vain as they lost 3-2. Dortmund is still on top of the table with 19 points.
ITALIAN SERIE A, Week 8
Juventus suffered a setback at the hands of Lazio as they lost 2-1 courtesy a brace by Immobile which helped Lazio jump over Juventus in the league table.
LIGUE 1, Week 8
Lyon Vs Monaco
Monaco was without their star striker Radamel Falcao, and that showed on the scoreline as they lost the match 3-2. However, Lyon are still three points behind Monaco and nine points behind league leader PSG.
SHANGHAI MASTERS

Roger Federer defeated Rafael Nadal 6-4, 6-3 in the final of the Shanghai Masters. This was Federer’s second Shanghai Masters title.
Sharapova Wins Tianjin Open
Maria Sharapova clinched her first WTA title since returning from drugs ban as she defeated Aryna Sabalenka 7-5, 7-6(8) in the final of the tournament.

FIFA Under-17 World Cup 2017, France Vs Honduras
France defeated Honduras 5-1 and maintained their unbeaten run in the tournament to qualify for the next round.
FIFA Under-17 World Cup 2017, Japan Vs New Caledonia
Japan managed to qualify for the next round even after drawing their match 1-1 against New Caledonia. Japan finished with four points just one point clear of the Honduras to inch past to the next round.
FIFA Under-17 World Cup 2017, Mexico Vs Chile
Mexico and Chile played a goalless draw in a Group F match. Despite the draw, Mexico qualified for the next round as they finished one of the four best third-placed teams.
FIFA Under-17 World Cup 2017, England Vs Iraq
England beat Iraq 4-0 in their final group encounter to set up a pre-quarterfinal clash against Japan. England topped their group winning all three group stage matches.
