Himanshu Rana To Lead India In Under-19 Asia Cup 1

The Board of Control for Cricket in India, on Monday (October 16), announced the India Under-19 squad for the upcoming fourth edition of the Asia Cup, scheduled to be held in Malaysia from November 9 to 20.

Himanshu Rana will lead the team as India will look to defend the title they won last year with a 34-run win over hosts Sri Lanka. Rana had dazzled with the bat in that tournament, finishing it as its highest run-getter, scoring 283 runs in five games. Rana was also in fine form during the last series against England, scoring 211 runs at an average of over 52.

The fourth edition of Under-19 Asia Cup, meanwhile, was supposed to be held in Bengaluru but was later moved to Malaysia after the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) objected to the tournament being held in India.
