South Africa Vs Bangladesh 2017, 1st ODI, Kimberley
South Africa defeated Bangladesh by ten wickets in the first ODI at Beer Diamond Oval in Kimberley courtesy an unbeaten opening partnership between Quinton De Kock and Hashim Amla. Bangladesh scored 278/7 in the first innings. Mushfiqur Rahim scored an unbeaten 110 runs. This was the first century for a Bangladeshi player against South Africa. However, the South African openers were enough to chase this target down. De Kock scored 168 of 145 deliveries whereas Amla scored 110 of 112 balls.
India Under-19 Squad for Asia Cup
Prithvi Shaw and Shubman Gill were the notable absentee’s from the under-19 World Cup to play in the Asia Cup. According to reports, Shaw was dropped from the squad to ensure his participation in the Ranji Trophy. Shaw who plays for the Mumbai Ranji team also played in the series against New Zealand A in both the unofficial Tests. Himanshu Rana will lead the team in the tournament.
