The Sultan of Multan Sehwag has pushed for the significant role in Tests while coming to open the innings, as he has notched up two triple centuries out of total three being an Indian batter.
However, Karun Nair became only second batsman when he smashed unbeaten 303 in the fifth and final Test at Chepauk against England in December 2016.
Having the quest to score rapidly, Sehwag also had enjoyed his quality stay at the crease owing to his brilliant stroke-making in the modern-day cricket.

While proving his critics wrong owing to his fearless approach, Sehwag went on to make most of his longer version of the game when he was touted as a next big thing in the 50-over format.
Interestingly, Sehwag announced his retirement from all forms of international cricket, on his 37th birthday in 2015.
The cricketer-turned-commentator went on to grab the attention of his die-hard fans while hitting big ones with 140 characters on Twitter.
With Sehwag’s highest individual score of 319 which came against South Africa in the first Test in Chennai during the 2008 Proteas tour to India, has been epitome for India by writing his own script while defying all odds with his immaculate style of play.
In 104 Tests, remarkable Sehwag scored 8,586 at an average of 49.34, as he smashed 23 hundreds and 32 fifties while relying on his natural game to march into the staggering numbers.

With his trademark shot upper-cut, Sehwag has collected runs across formats while facing the best of the bowling attacks on the lively surfaces, as his attacking approach made him more threatening at the top.
After making his international debut against arch-rivals Pakistan in December 1991, Sehwag featured in 251 One-day internationals in which he scored 8,273 runs at an average of 35.05. He smashed 15 hundred and 38 fifties.

On the other side, Sehwag, who featured in 19 Twenty20 internationals, bagged 136 wickets across two formats with his off-spin bowling.
As Sehwag’s footwork was questioned, he went on to prove his mettle while showing the great commitment towards his game while grabbing most of the changes thrown his way.
In top-flight international cricket, Sehwag smashed 243 maximums which further saw him collecting 2,508 boundaries during his inspiring career as he went to claim 186 catches across all three formats.
Widely regarded for his destructive style, Sehwag also entertained his fan-base in the Indian Premier League (IPL), as he scored 2,728 runs in 104 matches at an average of 27.55.
He scored two-hundred and 16 fifties while representing two IPL franchises Delhi Daredevils and Mohali-based outfit Kings XI Punjab.
