Chelsea striker Diego Costa has urged his side to make a move for the 28-year old Arda Turan from Atletico Madrid.

Turan has openly stated about his desires to play in the Premier League next season and he even confirmed him being in contact with three Premier League teams over his summer transfer.

According to AS, Manchester United are in lead to sign the Turkish international however, the player is keen to wait for revert from Chelsea.

Sources close to the player believe that Turan is interested in joining Chelsea despite agreeing a move with the Old Trafford club.

Costa was Turan’s team mate when the duo against all odds won the Spanish La Liga title in 2013-14 season beating Barcelona and Real Madrid in the race.

Turan’s former team mate and current Chelsea striker Diego Costa has come out and praised Turan;s quality ahead of the proposed move. Costa highlighted Turan’s caliber on the pitch and the tasty Kebab he can offer to the Chelsea players once he arrives in London.

Costa was speaking with a Turkish newspaper named Bugun, where he said: “It would be fantastic. Arda makes everything so much easier out on the pitch.

“Arda, Filipe and I function perfectly. And Arda is such a great person.

“He invited us to eat at his house many times, I really liked his kebab. The whole team would go round to his house for dinner.”

Despite Turan’s wish to join Chelsea and Manchester United leading the race for Turan, Barcelona are lurking in and around and could pay the Turan’s release clause of £28million.
