Hosts Chile take on South American giants Argentina in the grand finale of the Copa America 2015. Chile have been in a tantalizing form as they had won all the matches in the tournament barring one. They were considered to be favourites from the beginning of the tournament to lift the title. With the likes of Alexis Sanchez, Arturo Vidal and Claudio Bravo in their sde, who ply their trades in Europe, the team looks extremely strong on paper. Jorge Sampaoli’s men have scored 13 goals so far in the tournament. They have tormented their opponents and have displayed clear dominance over almost all the teams. They have a great sqaud at their disposal, one of the best in many years. They would be desperate to win this title which will be their first ever international silverware. Maiden title on their home soil wll be something the nation will cherish forever.
Argentina are the hot favourites to win the Copa America title. Argentina manager Gerardo Martino has a fantastic team at his disposal, with the likes of Lionel Messi, Sergio Aguero, Javier Mascherano, Angel Di Maria and many more. The bench strength of this squad is extremely impressive. The Albicelestes, began the campaign on a low as they were held by minnows Paraguay in the opening match. After going ahead by two goals they were restricted to a 2-2. After that the team though had won the rest of the games, their perfromance was heavily criticised. The team gained moemntum from the semi final when they drubbed Paraguay 6-1 and performed according to their name. The team is on the verge of ending 22 years of trophy drought. The last time they had won any major international accolade was way back in 1993 Copa America. If Argentina win this match they will bag their 15th Copa America title.

Argentina’s talisman Lionel Messi is the most dangerous threat on Chile’s defense. The man needs no intrpduction as each and every one is aware of Lioenl Messi’s potential. The Barcelona attaker has managed to score just 1 goal so far in the tournament, but provided a number of assists. He has taken up the role of a feeder in this tournament and concentrating more on midfield duties. He works hard on the field and switches position. Primarily he starts from the right wing, thus Chilean left full-back Miiko Albornoz will be in charge of marking the little genius.
Sergio Aguero vs Gary Medel
Sergio Aguero is a prolific goal scorer and is a constant threat on any team’s penalty box. The Manchester City forward has still not played upto his potential and is yet to deliver his best. Chile’s Gary Medel must keep a close eye on this opportunistic and prolific goal poacher.
Alexis Sanchez vs Pablo Zabaleta
The only Chile attacker who can impose serious threat on Argentina’s backline is this man from Arsenal. Alexis Sanchez has been outstanding for the Gunners in the last season and has continued to mesmeriz us with some great football in this tournament. Pablo Zabaleta who has played against Sanchez last season in the Premier League will have to keep the Chilean under close vigilance.
