According to Mirror, Juventus are keen to land Chelsea flop Juan Cuadrado. The Colombian failed to impress Jose Mourinho since his move to Stamford Bridge back in January.
He made only 14 appearences for the Blues of which only four were starts. Jose Mourinho reiterated his confidence in the player and promised more playing time next season for the player to prove his worth.
However, Juventus are set to hijack the £27million star as they look to land him on loan this summer with an option to sign him permanenty at the end of the season. The 27-year old Colombian is a proven talent in Italy as he has been impressive with his preformances to Florentina prior to his move to Chelsea.
Juventus are also linked with three other Chelsea midfielders namely Oscar, Mohammed Salah and Willian who are also looking highly unsettled with reduced playing time at Stamford Bridge. Salah has impressed on his loan spell at Florentina and is looking to join another club this summer.
Juventus Chief executive Giuseppe Marotta said: “We are open to all possibilities. Should Chelsea be open to a loan with the possibility to sell him permanently, we would be happy.”
Blues’ manager Jose Mourinho want to keep Cuadrado at Stamford Bridge next season to evaluate his potential before taking any decision. The player’s agent Lucci has also insisted that Cuadrado will stay at Chelsea to fight for his place next season.
He said: “Cuadrado is a Chelsea player, strongly backed by Jose Mourinho, who believes in him.
“Juan is fine in London and is very likely to remain at Chelsea. He has interest from other teams but I repeat, Juan is a Chelsea player.”
