Ahead of the series-decider against New Zealand, India’s opening pair-Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma were involved in an interesting conversation on Instagram and one can say that the talk was not even remotely related to cricket.
Well, it all began when Dhawan posted a sweet video of his son Zoravar on Instagram where Dhawan junior could be seen trying to identify his dad while the Team India were singing the national anthem before the 2nd ODI against New Zealand in Pune. With Dhawan lined up for the national anthem, his son, while watching the action on television, could not hide his excitement and asked his mother Ayesha: “Is that Papa?”.
In reply, Ayesha said: “Yup”.
An emotional Dhawan could not stop himself from posting the video on Instagram as he wrote:“Dil bhar aaya video dekh ke, jis tareeke se woh mujhe dhoondh rha hai.wish zoraver ko gale laga sakta main aur khoob pyaar de sakta. Mera pyaar aur duyaaein hamesha mere bachon ke saath hain …love u all.
(My heart is filled, the way he is searching for me. Wish I could hug Zoravar and give him a lot of love. My love and wishes are always with my children.. love u all,” Dhawan wrote.
But as soon as the southpaw posted the video along with the emotional message, his teammate Rohit Sharma tried to pull his leg as he wrote: “Apne bhavnao ko sambhaliye jatt ji (control your emotions jatt ji).”
However, Dhawan emerged victorious in the interesting exchange of messages as he replied:“emotions to achi cheez hai mere bhai., jisney pyaar nahi usne khak kiya (emotion is a good thing my brother..the one who has not loved has done nothing).”

Meanwhile, the duo will be looking to give India a solid start in the upcoming third and final One-Day International against New Zealand, scheduled to be played in Kanpur on Sunday (November 29).

Dhawan found his form in the last game by scoring a crucial century but Rohit is yet to make a big impression and will be keen to make the mark in the important game.
