Sri Lanka beat Pakistan in the second T20I:

Pakistan defeated Sri Lanka by 2-wickets in a low-scoring thriller on Friday (October 27) to take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series. Batting first, the Islanders after yet another poor show with the bat managed to put up 124 for 9 in the allotted 20 overs.
Fast bowler Faheen Ashraf was the destructor-in-chief, becoming the first Pakistan player to achieve a hat-trick in Twenty20 internationals to finish with impressive figures of 16 for 3.
In reply, Pakistan kept on losing wickets at regular intervals with the equation finally down to 12 off the last over and eight from the last three balls. But just when it looked Sri Lanka would end their losing streak on tour, Shadab smashed Vikum Sanjaya for a six and then took a couple off the next delivery to help Pakistan chase down the total with a ball remaining.
Martina Hingis retires from Tennis:

Tennis great Martina Hingis ended her career on a losing note as she and her partner Chan Yung-jan of Taiwan suffered a 6-4 7-6(5) defeat against Timea Babos and Andrea Hlavackova in a WTA Finals doubles semi-final on Saturday in Singapore.
Earlier this week, the 37-year old Swiss legend had announced that she was hanging up her racket for a third and final time following this week’s event in Singapore, thus bringing down curtains on her illustrious career during which she won 25 grand slam wins — five in singles, 20 in doubles.
Sindhu, Srikanth and Prannoy advance in French open:

On a fine day for Indian shuttlers in France, PV Sindhu, Kidambi Srikanth and HS Prannoy stormed into the semi-finals of the French Open Superseries on Friday.
In women’s singles, Sindhu seeded second, thrashed China’s Chen Yufei 21-14, 21-14 while Srikanth, fresh from the win in the Denmark Open last week, came from one game down to beat Shi Yuqi of China 8-21, 21-19, 21-9. Prannoy, on the other hand, decimated Jeon Hyeok-jin of South Korea 21-16, 21-16. Srikanth and Prannoy will now take on each other in the semifinal on Saturday.
India gears up for the final day of FIFA World Cup:

India is all set to wave goodbye to the historic FIFA World Cup as Saturday will be the last day of the ongoing Under-17 World Cup in the country. European heavyweights Spain and England will take on each other in the mouth-watering final in Kolkata after Brazil and Mali fight it out for the third place.
England will be hoping for a hat-trick of titles after the under-20 side won their World Cup in June and the under-19 side’s victory in their European Championships in July. On the other hand, Spain will be hoping to get the monkey off their back, having finished runners-up thrice (1991, 2003 and 2007).
