Fast bowler Mohammed Shami has thrown complete support behind Team India skipper Virat Kohli while adding the rotation policy has helped him to stay focused on the gentleman’s game to pay rich dividends in the near future.
“I fully support Kohli’s rotation policy,” Shami was quoted as saying by PTI.
The 27-year-old Amroha-born right-arm seam bowler Shami reflected on the rotation procedure which has been generally put in place by the national cricket body Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

Moreover, the wily customer and injury-prone Shami remarked such steps would further allow the bowlers – to prepare well across formats following the busy scheduled which would eventually play a significant role to strengthen the fast bowling stock.
“It gives rest to players like me to get ready not only for Tests but across all formats,” Shami maintained.
After the leading bowlers were rested owing to the rotation policy following the collective decision, the speculations further lead that the prominent and senior campaigners have been ruled out or eventually had has gone out of selectors favour.

As the decision has already received a varied response, Shami was also among the players who were asked to sit out after featuring in a solitary game against Australia in the recently-concluded One-day International series alongside paceman Umesh Yadav which hosts sealed by 4-1.

Shami, who made his debut in 2013, played 50 ODIs so far in which he bagged 91 wickets at an average of 25.37 which saw him donning the white jersey to play 25 Tests and seven Twenty20 Internationals.
Across formats, Shami bagged 185 wickets, as he has had also made things tougher for the opposition with the new ball.
