Pakistan defeated Sri Lanka in the 3rd Test of the series in Pallekele and clinched the series 2-1 in their favour. Some fabulous batting performances from the Pakistan batsmen, specifically newbie Shan Masood and veteran Younis Khan, both of whom complied with a century each in the 4th innings of the match, helped the visitors to achieve huge target of 377 set by Sri Lanka.
Pakistan wrapped up the Test by scoring 382/3 in 4th innings of the match. This was the 6th highest successful chase in Tests and the highest for Pakistan.
