Beigh is an all-rounder who has played a total of 61 first-class, and 37 List A games for Jammu and Kashmir. He scored 1739 runs in first-class cricket and also scalped 158 wickets. In the 50 over format, Beigh has 424 runs with 36 wickets. He also played 23 T20s.
He was part of Deccan Chargers during IPL 2010 and again came close to an IPL call-up when Beigh was called in the camp of Mumbai Indians in Baroda in 2014. Paras Mhambrey, the former Mumbai Indians coach, called the all-rounder to inform about the call-up for trials. Along with him, Umar Nazir and Shubham Khajuria were two other players who were called for the trials.

If he would have played IPL, then he could have become the second cricketer from the state to play in the T20 league. Parvez Rasool was the first cricketer from the state to play in IPL. He represented Pune Warriors XI in IPL 2013. He then went on to play for Sunrisers Hyderabad and Royal Challengers Bangalore. Surprinsgly, Rasool went unsold in IPL 2017 auction despite making his T20I debut in January early this year.

Talking of Beigh, he will leave big shoes to fill as he has been part of the team for 14 years. He was selected in the MRF pace academy in 2006 where he learnt bowling skills under the guidance of Dennis Lillee. In an interview with Sportzwiki, he had revealed that he used to teach bowlers like Dhawal Kulkarni and Varun Aaron.
Beigh was a part of the playing XI when J & K side stunned Mumbai in the first Ranji game in 2014/15 season. Though he did not have many roles to play in the win, it was a historic moment for the senior player.
In the ongoing season, Jammu and Kashmir are sitting at the sixth position in the points table with two losses in three games they have played till now.
