Watch: Yuzvendra Chahal Castles Dangerous Colin Munro With Gem Of A Delivery 1

With Colin Munro going great guns and turning out to be a major threat for India in the ongoing series-decider at Kanpur’s Green Park Stadium, India needed a moment of brilliance to get rid off the left-handed batsman. The moment was provided by none other than Yuzvendra Chahal, one of the most impressive bowlers in recent times.

Chasing a mammoth 338, New Zealand fired on all cylinders right from the word go with Munro leading the charge. The Black Caps had raced to 44 off just five overs before Jasprit Bumrah dismissed Martin Guptill. However, the much-needed breakthrough did not allow India to put the pressure on the visitors as Munro and Kane Williamson stitched together a brilliant stand to keep the chase on track.

By the time the 24th over ended, the scoreboard was reading a promising 152 for 1 with Munro batting on 75 off 61 while Williamson was playing on 57 off just 69. But just when it looked both the batsmen were well settled, Chahal broke the partnership with a gem of a delivery. Not shying away from putting up the brave side of his bowling, the leg-spinner bowled a floating delivery and reaped rich rewards for it. The ball landed on the off-stump and went on to beat Munro’s defence to shatter the middle and leg stump.

Here is a clip of that brilliant dismissal:
