According to hosts broadcasters Sony Six the Indian team will play their first Test against Sri Lanka at Galle from August 12.

The BCCI has not confirmed the schedule of the series the media released by Sony Six is that second Test will be played at Colombo Oval from August 20-24 while the final Test will be played at Palleke from 28th August to 1st September.

“On Sony six associations with Sri Lankan cricket, Sony Six has established itself as one of the most exciting sports channels in the industry and we are thrilled to be associated with them from this test series,” said a channel statement. 

“The Channel track record in showing premier sporting events further cemented our decision in making them as broadcasting partner in bringing high quality sporting action,” channel concluded. 

The Schedule for this series is as follows:

1) August 12-16 (Galle)

2) August 20-24 (Colombo)

3) August 28-1st Septmember (Kandy, Palleke).

There is also a news that India might advance the tour of Sri Lanka to a week to allow adequate rest for the Indian players before a grueling home series against South Africa.
