Cricket: Thalaiva style

Vanakkam !

Today’s ‘Southern sensation’ has got a lot of news as it was our respected Rajni sir who played a match against team ‘Justice League’. Headlines today:

1) A little boy got injured in the United States for being hit by a ball that came from Chidambaram stadium.

2) ICC changed its rule for maximum fielders outside the 30yard circle during power play for special cases.

3) Iron bats to be used further in cricket in some special cases- rules implemented.

A little boy in Florida got injured as he got struck by a ball. According to sources the ball came from M.S. Chidambaram stadium. It was Flash’s delivery that Rajni Sir hit for a six which landed unintentionally on the Florida boy. He is admitted to the hospital. Rajni sir is planning to pay a visit as per reports.

ICC changed its T10 rule of having 4 players outside the 30 yard circle during power play for special cases. As the thalaiva kept on hitting over-boundaries for every single ball bowled, ICC promptly changed the maximum number of fielders to unlimited and it was in effect from the very next ball itself, though the conditions did not change much as the next balls were sent off to various regions like Singapore, Japan etc. Superman tried to fly and catch the ball but the ball refused to get in his hands and changed its course and landed outside the stadium to put up another 6 on the scoreboard.

Another special permission for special cases that ICC granted is that Iron bats may be used. This is due to the fact that in the start of the second innings, Rajni sir’s ball went through Phantom’s bat turning both the bat and the stumps into saw-dust. In spite of the fact, the wickets kept on tumbling as Rajni sir kept on catching each and every ball that the opposition hit. The turning point of the match came when after his delivery Rajni sir sneezed and in the interval, flash ran for three. But his partner Batman’s cape got stuck in the stumps and was run out by the bowler himself.

The final result stood:

Rajni XI: 360-0 in 20 overs.

Rajnikanth 360*

Justice League: all out for 2

Flash 2

Rajnikanth- 10 for 2

Thalaiva was unanimously declared the Man of the match upsetting the heavy-weight team for a clean victory but he refused to take the award and handed it to Flash for his contributions.

After the match, in an interview, the great Rajni sir said that he wanted a 360-nil victory but is happy. He also mentioned the opposition played well and it was an interesting match after long. Justice league’s opinion is unavailable.
