While he looks like the most serious of characters on the cricket field, the latest episode of ‘Breakfast with Champions’ is good enough to prove that Virat Kohli is a different character off it.
The latest episode of the show, hosted by Gaurav Kapur, saw the India skipper spilling the beans about the dressing room and his teammates and during the show, the star batsman ended up revealing a hilarious secret about Indian cricket’s latest sensation Hardik Pandya.
It all began with the host of the show awaking the Punjabi guy inside the star cricketer, and the latter did take long to activate his ‘Punjabi munda’ mode. Soon, Gaurav began humming a few Punjabi songs, and Kohli was quick to catch on to them, singing the next few lines of the song. The conversation soon took an interesting turn when Kohli revealed that most of the songs that are played in the dressing room are Punjabi.
And during that conversation, Kohli revealed a hilarious secret about Pandya.
“Only Punjabi music is played in the dressing room because not many people carry an iPod now,” Kohli said. Hardik Pandya has an iPod and he only has English songs.
The 28-year old then went to take a dig at his teammate, revealing how he does not even know even five words of the songs but only cares about the beat.
“He does not even know 5 words from any song. All he needs is a beat and he dances. So we get irritated with his songs. That leaves my iPod and I have only Punjabi songs. Some Hindi romantic songs too but mainly Punjabi,” the skipper said.
Here is the clip showing Kohli trolling Pandya (Watch from the 1st minute:)
