India beat New Zealand 2-1 in the recently concluded T20I series for the first time.
While it was a batting paradise in the first two matches, the bowlers played an essential part in the rain-affected third-match Thiruvananthapuram.
While Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma gave India a good start in the first game, it was New Zealand’s Colin Munro who notched up his second T20I hundred in the second match to level 1-1 in the series. In the third one, Jasprit Bumrah and Yuzvendra Chahal’s fantastic spell handed the first ever series win for India against the Kiwis.
