4. Chris Gayle

The big hitting Caribbean failed to sizzle in the match. More ever the fearsome batsmen who could make a mockery of any bowler was seen dancing to the tunes of Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Moving balls troubled the big man and B Kumar bowled well to take his wicket in both the innings.

4. Denesh Ramdin

The West Indies wicket keeper batsmen was in red hot form during the Champions Trophy held earlier this year, but failed miserably in the first Test match with scores of  4(4) and 1(15) in his two innings. The West Indian had the solid Shivnarine Chanderpaul on the other end of the pitch and could have hanged in there and contributed to the side but he failed falling to the swing bowling of Shami Ahamed in both the innings.

3. Tino Best

The fast bowler missed a lesson or two from what his counterpart Shami Ahamed displayed and was tad expensive in his spell. He just claimed the wicket of the MS Dhoni and erred in line. He should have used the reverse swing which was on offer. He will have to do well and support his side against the tall batting fortress of the Indians.

2. Virat Kholi

He became the No.1 ODI batsmen just before the start of the series and was hyped to do the loads of scoring in the series. But he just managed to hang in there and make three runs in 5 balls he faced and the innings lasted a mere 13 minutes. A rare failure from the most consistent batsmen of current Indian side. He did not get the chance to bat as India won with an innings and 57 runs.

1. Darren Sammy

The Caribbean skipper failed to make a mark both with the bat and the ball. He wasn’t much effective as the captain either as his defensive fiekld strategy against Ashwin – Rohit pair allowed them to accumulate runs with ease. The skipper needs to fire if they want to win a match or atleast hang in there and give a fight.
