India Vs. Malaysia

India defeated Malaysia by 202 runs in their group match in Kuala Lumpur courtesy a match-winning knock by skipper Himanshu Rana. Rana opened the innings and scored 107 runs. A middle-order batsman Salman Khan also scored an impressive 67 runs as the teams total reached 310/7 in 50 overs. Indian bowlers then wrapped the Malaysian innings early as the hosts were bowled for 108. Darshan Nalkande picked up three wickets for the Indian team. India will next face Nepal on Sunday.
Afghanistan Vs. Pakistan
Afghanistan pulled off a shock win against Pakistan as the Afghan bowlers were on fire in the first match group match and bowled out the Pakistani team for a mere 57 runs in 20 overs. Afghan bowler Mujeeb picked up six wickets in his ten overs giving away just 23 runs. Mohammad Taha was the highest scorer for Pakistan scoring 14 runs. Afghanistan achieved the target in 9.1 overs losing three wickets.
Sri Lanka Vs. UAE
Sri Lanka won their first group stage match against minnows UAE as they were bowled out for a low scored 66 runs in 22 overs. Thisaru Rashmika picked up four wickets in his eight overs giving away 17 runs. Sri Lanka achieved the target in 16 overs. Their captain Kamidu Mendis top scored with 27 runs.
FIFA WORLD CUP QUALIFIER
Northern Ireland Vs. Switzerland

Northern Ireland’s qualification for the World Cup took a set back as they lost to Switzerland in the first leg of the playoff. Switzerland won courtesy a penalty in the 57th minute as Ricardo Rodriguez converted the set piece.
Croatia Vs. Greece

Croatia cruised past Greece in the first leg of the playoff winning by a huge margin of 4-1. A. Kramaric, Ivan Perisic, Kalinic and Luca Modric scored for the winning team. Borussia Dortmund’s Papastathopoulos scored the Greeks in the 29th minute.
FIFA WORLD CUP QUALIFIER, FIXTURES
Sweden Vs. Italy

Sweden will host 2006 World Cup winners Italy as both the teams look to get the better of the other over two legs. The Italian side under the leadership of Gianluigi Buffon will be looking forward to getting the better of the Swedes as they did in the group match of the 2016 Euros.
