Indian tennis star Sania Mirza has been one of the household names in the country for all the things she achieved for the country over the past decade.
The Hyderabadi girl has turned 31 on Wednesday and wishes have poured for her from all the Indian celebrities. However, her husband Shoaib Malik was one of the first persons to wish her on social media.
The Pakistani cricketer has taken his Twitter account to wish his spouse on her auspicious day. His tweet read: “Here’s to wishing my beautiful wife a magical birthday. Missing you”

Sania is enduring a tough year in her career. Having reached world No.1 ranking in doubles last season, she has found it hard to keep going this season, majorly due to the injuries to herself and her partners.
The 31-year old is set to finish the year as No.9 in WTA doubles rankings. She is currently taking rest to recover from the knee injury she suffered and has expressed her delight to finish in Top 10 despite missing the action in recent times. She will take a call on whether to take a surgery or not on her knee in the coming days.
“It was tough year with partners getting injured, but I have a bit of a knee injury now. I have been off for about a month. I have couple of weeks to rest, just trying to get used to, I have to see if I need to have a surgery or not. (I have) a little bit of problem,” Sania said on the sidelines of the Indian Sports Honours.
She added, “But all in all I still finished close to top 10, so I am happy with the year.”
The Indian ace star has managed to win only one title this year at Brisbane, a dull year compared to her high standards. She had finished runners-up in Miami Open, Sydney International and also reached finals in Australian Open mixed doubles.
Sania Mirza will hope to reach her previous best next season and will also be looking to get back to the No.1 position in WTA doubles rankings.
