Chelsea have lost 2-4 to Major League Soccer side New York Red Bulls in the International Champions Cup.

Chelsea started with a strong line up.

The starting XI was:

Courtois, Ivanovic, Cahill, Zouma, Azpilicueta, Fabregas, Traore, Mikel, Oscar, Moses, Remy

New York Red Bulls line up was:

Reynish, Adams, McLaws, Plewa, Miller, Ouimette, Obekop, Stolz, Davis, Bedoya, Tsonis 

Loic Remy opened the scoring for Chelsea and gave them lead on 26 minutes.

Remy missed a golden chance to double the lead few minutes later.

Chelsea finished the first half with a comfotable 1-0 lead.

Chelsea made 8 half time changes with Begovic, Aina, Terry, Loftus Cheek, Matic, Hazard, Ramires and Costa coming on.

Red Bulls leveled the scoreline on 51 minutes with an error from John Terry as his backpass was underhit and Asmir Begovic did not cover himself in glory as Franklin Castellanos blocked his clearance and tucked home a leveler.

Tyler Adams gave the American side a lead for the first time at the 70th minute.

On the 73rd minute, Sean Davis made the scoreline 3-1 with a fine finish past Asmir Begovic.

Eden Hazard clawed one goal back on 75 minutes.

However, Sean Davis doubled the lead again after just two minutes from Hazard’s goal.

Asmir Begovic had a debut to forget for the Blues.

Out of favour Oscar however impressed with both assists to his name and will hope that he has impressed his manager.
