The greatest rivalry in cricket took off yesterday when Australia locked horns with the touring England side in the first Ashes Test at Gabba. The veteran Shaun Marsh was picked in the first XI for the no six spot which drew many speculations coming to this series. England is a relatively young side, and they would certainly miss the service of their star all-rounder Ben Stokes who was excluded from the squad after getting involved in a brawl at the streets of Bristol.

The Gabba has recently witnessed a new swimming pool, where the England cricketers were seen enjoying their time a day before the first Test. The fans have named it as the ‘Gabbatoir’. In the first day of the first Ashes Test, a man was seen proposing a girl inside that swimming pool.

From the official twitter handle of the World Wide Sports, a video was posted where a man was spotted proposing her girl with a ring inside that newly built pool. The girl was surprised by his act but loved it and accepted the proposal. It has been an exciting sight during the Test match as everybody was clapping and waters splashed from all sides.

England decided to bat first winning the toss. However, they couldn’t capitalise on the decision as their experienced opener Alastair Cook got out in the third over the match. Young Mark Stoneman (53) and James Vince (83) were the star batsmen for England as they posted 302 on the board. In reply, Australia lost Cameron Bancroft at the start of innings as Stuart Broad removed him. David Warner got off to a good start but couldn’t capitalise on it as he got out at 26. Aussies are now tied at 120 for 4 with their captain Steve Smith still at the crease batting on 47.
