The famous Bollywood filmmaker Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s son, Agni Chopra, is accused of abusing his Mumbai Under-19 coach Satish Samant and the Mumbai-based selectors after going crazy over the social media platform.

It has been learnt that Agni was cherishing an unconditional support of the selectors including his coach Samant even when the former was struggling with dip in his form and further was unable to keep his body intact.

“The selectors and the coach were disappointed with such behaviour. It was unexpected as Agni [the son of well known Bollywood producer-director Vidhu Vinod Chopra] was well supported by the selectors and coach despite being out of form and unfit,” the MCA source was quoted as saying by Mid-day Mumbai.

The incident took place when Agni reportedly abused his team coach and the selectors before the management asked the MCA to take cognisance of the matter.

However, even after such an influence, the selectors and coach were taken by utter surprise when Agni allegedly hurled abuses at them through a medium of social media.

“This came as a shocker for them. They find no reason for being subjected to such abuse. In the letter, the selectors have urged the MCA to take strong action against him,” MCA source asserted.

Angi, who has shown a lot of promise before being appointed as the skipper of Mumbai U-19 team, as the cricketer is likely going to face the wrath of the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) after his allegedly rash behaviour with his mentor.

According to the report, the selectors of the Under-19 team has had written a letter to the MCA which included a screenshot of Agni’s social media chat with his teammates.

“The MCA officials will first look into the matter before leaving it to the Managing Committee to take a final call,” an official for MCA added.

Earlier, in October this year, the left-handed top-order batsman Agni was appointed as the captain in the Vinoo Mankad Trophy.

The teenager Agni, who is also a medium pacer, has played Under-14 and Under-16 in 2014, before breaking into the Under-19 team of Mumbai.

Interestingly, Agni started off his cricketing career when he was at the tender age of seven while having a keen passion to represent the nation, who has further remarked his father Vinod has been throwing a huge support behind him.

Agni, whose favourite players have been Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid, is expected to face the heat from his association, as the committee for MCA is bound to announce the fat of the 18-year-old batsman.
