The Pakistan cricket team is scheduled to tour New Zealand for a limited overs series early in January which will consist of 5 ODI’s and 3 T20I’s. Pakistan last travelled to New Zealand in 2016 for a two-match Test series and ended up losing both the Tests. Meanwhile, this time around the format is a different one, and Pakistan will be backing themselves to come up with the good especially after impressive showings in the recent past.
Meanwhile, Pakistan will play a warm-up game against a New Zealand XI ahead of the series. The 25-day tour will include a 50 over practise game on 3rd January while the last match of the tour will be played on January 28. The Kiwis have always been the dominant side against their opposition in their backyard, and it is no different against Pakistan.
Pakistan has played a total of 44 ODI’s in New Zealand out of which the Black Caps have returned triumphantly on 26 occasions while Pakistan has won 15. The scale is tilted in favour of New Zealand even in the shortest format as the hosts enjoy a 4-2 advantage over the Asian Giants. Pakistan won’t care about their records and will look to carry on their good run of form.
