Hardik Pandya reveals how he almost got arrested in West Indies early this year.

The latest episode of Breakfast with Champions has given the fans yet another hilarious story involving a cricketer and this time it was related to none other than India’s latest cricketing sensation, Hardik Pandya.

The talk show hosted by Gaurav Kapur has already become very popular among the fans and the way the top-level cricketers are candidly revealing several anecdotes about their life; giving the fans an insight into their personal life, its popularity is bound to grow manifold in the coming days. Gaurav Kapur has already interviewed Indian captain Virat Kohli, recently retired bowler Ashish Nehra, and Suresh Raina as well.

Well, the latest episode saw Pandya gracing the sets, and as expected it was yet another memorable episode for the fans as the all-rounder spoke on his short career so far and all. The highlight of the show, however, was the incident he revealed when he had a run-in with the police during India’s tour of West Indies early this year. It eventually turned out to be a prank, which was set up by his Mumbai Indians teammate Kieron Pollard.

“When we went to West Indies, I was with him the whole time. I was roaming about as if I was in India because I knew that he won’t let anything happen to me,” Pandya recalled.

“However, he decided to pull my leg. He called a police officer, who was actually his friend, who tried to arrest me. I knew it was a prank, but at one point, things got a little serious. I stayed calm, and I thought I would call the Indian team and sort it all out because I haven’t done anything wrong.

“I figured out it was a prank when I saw the police officer try to call someone while holding the phone upside down with the speaker at the other end,” he added.
