Australia gained the upper hand in the second Test as England was bowled out for 227 giving the hosts a lead of 215 in the first innings. The English batting line up failed miserably as none of the batsman could take the responsibility and score big runs. No batsmen crossed the fifty run mark as Craig Overton was the top scorer with 41 runs and was unbeaten till the end. Nathan Lyon was again the hero for the Australians as he picked up four wickets. He took a blinder of a catch of his own bowling to dismiss Moeen Ali. Mitchell Starc also picked up three. The hosts did not enforce the follow on and were 15/1 in the second innings at the time of writing.
India Vs Sri Lanka 3rd Test, Feroz Shah Kotla, Delhi

The Sri Lankan team finally showed some resistance as Dinesh Chandimal, and Angelo Matthews scored centuries as the dup was involved in 181 runs stand for the fourth wicket. Angelo Matthews scored his 8th Test hundred, and the current Sri Lankan Test captain Chandimal scored his 10th Test hundred. Sri Lanka has just lost one wicket in the day that of Angelo Matthews picked up by Ravichandran Ashwin. They were 305/4 and still 231 runs behind the hosts at the time of writing.
New Zealand Vs West Indies, 1st Test, Basin Reserve, Wellington

New Zealand won the first Test by an innings and 67 runs at the Basin Reserve in Wellington to go 1-0 in the two-match Test series. West Indies started Day four at 214/2 with Kraigg Braithwaite and Shai Hope at the crease. Despite playing well on day three, Windies added just 105 runs to their total, as Braithwaite top scored with 91 runs. Windies lost their last seven wickets for 62 runs. Matt Henry was the pick of the bowlers for the Kiwis in the second innings as he picked up three wickets. Neil Wagner who picked up seven wickets in the first innings and two in the second was adjudged the Man of the Match.
WORLD HOCKEY LEAGUE, BHUBANESHWAR
Belgium rammed the Spanish team 5-0 in the group stage match to go top of the pool B, whereas Netherlands and Argentina played an exciting 3-3 draw.
