India Vs Sri Lanka 3rd Test, Feroz Shah Kotla, Delhi

The third Test between India and Sri Lanka ended in a draw, as the Sri Lankan batsmen showed resistance on the final day losing just two wickets in three sessions.

Lanka lost the wicket of Angelo Matthews in the first session, but captain Dinesh Chandimal and Dhananjaya De Silva showed some solid defensive technique against the Indian spinners. Chandimal was dismissed soon after the lunch break, but Dhananjaya went on to complete his third hundred in Tests.

Sri Lanka reached 299/5 when Virat Kohli shook hands with the batsmen meaning the match ended in a draw. Virat Kohli was adjudged the man of the match, as well as the man of the series. With this win, India completed their ninth consecutive series win.

The ODI series is scheduled to begin on 10th December in Dharamsala.

Liverpool, Sevilla, Manchester City, Shakhtar Donetsk, Besiktas, Porto, Tottenham and Real Madrid have qualified for the round of sixteen.

India pulled off a shock result against Belgium, as the hosts drew the match 3-3 and then won the penalty shootout 3-2. For India, Gurjant Singh, Harmanpreet Singh and Rupinder Pal Singh were the goal scorer in the match. India will now face the winner of the match between Argentina and England.

Australia, on the other hand, defeated Spain 4-1 to progress to the semi-final stage. They will face either Germany or Netherlands.
