U Mumba easily defeats Bengal Warriors in the first match of the day at Thagraj Stadium, Delhi. It was an excellent performance by U Mumba who outplayed Bengal Warriors in all departments.

U Mumba captain Anup Kumar won the toss and elected the court. Rajput having lost the toss asked Lee to take first raid that went empty. Anup also had empty raid. Vineet Sharma & Pradeep Kumar also had second empty raids for their teams respectively. Rajput in a do or die raid claimed touch point that was challenged through video referral by U Mumba captain, that succeeded and U Mumba was allotted a point instead of Bengal Warriors declaring Rajput out.

Bhupender in next raid was pushed out of court after tackling. Anup earned a touching Bajirao taking UM to 2-1. Pradeep also earned touch point after an empty raid by Bengal Warriors and very next raid Vineet was tackled taking U Mumba  to 4 points. Lee and Rajput for Bengal Warriors  and Pradeep had empty raids. Bhupender was tackled successfully taking Bengal Warriors score to 2. Lee earned a touch point slipping out the grip of defender. Anup earned 2 touch points to take U Mumba to 6. Pradeep and Lee had empty raids again. Rajput in a do or die raid earned 1 touch point.

Anup and Rajput had 1 empty raid each followed by a touch point by Bhupender. Rajput was tackled in next raid , U Mumba asked for review that was unsuccessful to get 5th point to Bengal Warriors . Bhupender earned his 3rd successive raid point leaving only 3 players in Bengal Warriors. Rajput in his 7th raid was tackled by Jeeva Kumar, supported by others. Anup had another empty raid. Shyam Saha had empty raid followed by Bhupender touching a player in his raid and Nilesh the last man was tackled to by U Mumba to get Bengal Warriors all out taking them to a lead of 15-6 just a minute before half time Rajput and Bhupender had 1 empty raid each before half time.

After resumption U Mumba quickly earned touch points to reach 19. Bengal Warriors asked for review denying that Kedar Lal was touched that was upheld getting a point to Bengal Warriors . Kedar Lal earned 2 points in the next raid successfully slipping out of defenders. Next Bhupender was tackled to take Bengal Warriors W to 9. Do or die raid turned a super raid as Jeeva Kumar dived.

Next Anup was tackled leaving with one player. In the next raid Kedar surrendered and U Mumba got all out and Bengal Warriors returned in the game taking their score to 15. Lee in a do or die raid was tackled in an effort to earn bonus point. Pradeep was out of lobby for which Bengal Warriors asked for a video review that was unsuccessful and Um earned their 22nd point. Bhupender and Nilesh had 1 empty raid each. After a technical time out Anup had empty raid followed by a do or die raid Kedar Lal was declared out.

Immediately Bhupendra earned a touch point and Deepak was tackled to take U Mumba lead to 25-15 in 37th minute leaving only one player in Bengal Warriors when another time out was taken. Anup’s raid resulted in Annadurai surrendering tamely and U Mumba jumping to a score of 28. In the new start Kedar was declared out for entering lobby without touching any one. Pradeep Kumar earned a touch point to take UM to 30. Bhupender was tackled taking Kolkata to 17. In the last raid Lee was tackled and U Mumba dominated again to win the match comfortably at 31-17. Anup Kumar earned best raider and Audience award. Mohit Chillar won the best defender award playing in right corner. Bhupender won best player of the day.
