Ravindra Jadeja met a person and received appreciation for his performance in the third Test against Sri Lanka at Feroz Shah Kotla in Delhi. But this appreciation didn’t go well with the left arm spinner as the person mistook him as Ajay Jadeja.

A day after Ravindra Jadeja was left fuming when a fan mistook him as Ajay Indian cricket fans took to Twitter to criticise the way Jadeja expressed his anger on social media. Jadeja wrote on his Twitter account, “Someone came to me and said“well ball ajay. you bowled brilliantly in last match”.played 9 years of international cricket for country and still ppl dont remember my name.#stupidity #gavaar”

Words like gavaar (illiterate) and Stupid didn’t go well with the fans, and rightly so they took to Twitter to express their anger towards the cricketer as cricketers in India are huge public figures, and kids look up to them and idolize them. Such attitude could leave a wrong impression on the youngsters.
Fans were also agitated as such words don’t go well in the society and Jadeja being an Indian cricketer represents the community as a whole and saying such words on social media does not suit a figure like him.
Let’s have a look at how Twitter reacted to Jadeja’s Tweet.
With respect maam… U haven't read it correctly.. The person congratulated him by saying "well bowled" and as far I know Ajay jadeja was not a test bowler #DontbeOversmart

Ajay has often told me that many youngsters are disappointed when they find that he is not the Jadeja they want to meet. 🙂

In fact in 2012 in Australia a journalist actually addressed him as Ajay in the PC. "Aap ka nam ajay hei."

I don't remember him playing for 9 yrs , I can only trace him since 2013 , so just 4-5 years of INTERNATIONAL cricket . Look at his attitude .? #gavaar

Sir, it's not stupidity. It was just a harmless mistake. Ajay sir and you share the same surname so the person must have confused your name with Ajay sir's name. We don't refer to you as 'Ravindra', we say 'Jadeja' when we talk about you.
