The promising off-spinner Krishnappa Gowtham starred with the ball to claim six wickets, as Vinay Kumar-led Karnataka eventually became the first team of the series to qualify for the semi-final of the Ranji Trophy 2017-18 season.
Spectacular Gowtham’s bowling figures read as six for 104 in 35.5 overs, as Vinay Kumar completed the wickets column with two wickets in 19 overs.
In Nagpur, Mumbai was dismissed on 377 in 114.5 overs which saw Karnataka winning the match on the fourth day by an innings and 20 runs.
Moreover, Dhawal Kulkarni fought hard down the order as he scored 132-ball 75 runs which included nine boundaries and two sixes.
For Mumbai, Suryakumar Yadav struck 108 off 180 balls which was also the highest second innings score for Aditya Tare’s side.
Leading from the front, Vinay, who claimed eight wickets in the match including a hat-trick, has further gelled his unit well, in a bid to yield desired results owing to the splendid all-round show in the ongoing first-class competition.
Ranji Trophy 2017-18 – Gujarat Vs Bengal:
In another game, Bengal has extended the lead of staggering 613 as they finished the day four on 483 for four in 169 overs in the second innings against Parthiv Patel-led Gujarat.
The top-order batsman Writtick Chatterjee smashed a double hundred and is batting alongside Anustup Majumdar (six off 15 balls).
The 25-year-old right-handed Chatterjee is batting on 213 off 357 balls as his innings is comprised of 23 fours and a solitary six.
Ishwar Chaudhary bagged two wickets in 29 overs after conceding 70 runs.
Gujarat leader Patel used as many as eight bowlers which further saw only three bowlers were among the wickets.
Delhi Vs Madhya Pradesh:

Vidarbha is leading by 501 runs as the posted 431 for six in 124 overs.
After skipper Faiz Fazal struck 119 off 209 balls, Apoorv Wankhade struck a hundred. He posted 107 off 94 balls as his innings was comprised of six boundaries and five maximums.
Jalal Saxena conceded 106 runs in 35 overs to pick three wickets.
In the middle-order Wasim Jaffer (58 off 103) smashed a fifty as Ganesh Satish faced 141 balls to register 65 off 141 balls.
