20 year old French midfielder Adrien Rabiot has been offered to Arsenal by the French champions according to French media Foot365.

The reports say that Laurent Blanc’s side were reluctant to sell the highly rated young midfielder but the player and his representatives are looking for an escape route from Parc des Princes as the player is uncertain about getting playing time at the club. Therefore, the club management has contacted Arsenal to make an offer for the French youth international.

Rabiot made 21 appearances for Laurent Blanc’s side in Ligue 1 last season as Les Parisiens pipped Lyon to the league title by eight points.

The player is unsure about his future after finding himself down the pecking order behind the likes of Marco Verratti, Blaise Matuidi and Thiago Motta for the central midfield spot. Benjamin Stambouli has also joined the Les Parisiens from spurs this summer which will make it even harder for Rabiot to get gametime.

Rabiot featured in total 33 games for Laurent Blanc’s side last season scoring 4 goals providing 1 assist.

Arsenal have made only one addition to their squad in summer in the form of goalkeeper Petr Cech and have been linked with many midfielders like William Carvalho, Arturo Vidal, Sergio Busquets, Sergi Samper and Grzegorz Krychowiak but failed to land anyone of them.

Arsenal’s midfield needs reinforcements with the injury history of players like Jack Wilshere, Mikel Arteta and Aaron Ramsey and they have the opportunity to strengthen their midfield by signing the Frenchman.

Rabiot is an experienced youth international being capped 41 times for different French national youth set ups.

Rabiot had been linked with Premier League giats like Liverpool, Spurs an Manchester United in the past and his joining Arsenal will be a major coup for Arsenal.
