Patna Pirates trashed Pune in the second match of the day at Pune just few moments ago. Patna dominated the entire match and did not allow Pune to comeback into the match. This second match of the day wass very important for Patna to win as they have chance to contest with Jaipur Pink Panthers in the final round robin match to decide the fourth team to enter semifinals.
The first raid of the match was done by Sandeep Narwal of Patna Pirates. Patna Pirates got the first point of the match and tackle point to give Patna 2-0 lead. Wazir Singh got a bonus point and one raid point to reduce the gap to 2-3. Wazir was tackled and Patna Pirates earned 2 points. Tae Deok Eom got got 2 points and Pune were all out. Patna Pirates led 10-3.
Both the teams started cautiously but Patna took early lead. Rajesh Narwal, Sandeep Narwal , Gurvinder Singh and Suresh Kumar had successful raids for Patna getting Pune all out soon. On the other hand neither Wazir, Ravi Kumar, Amit Kumar nor Mahipal Narwal had good day and at half time Patna were leading 15-6.
After resumption Gurvinder earned 2 points and Ravi Kumar was given out I do or die raid and Pune were all out for the second time taking the score to 22-6. Wazir had no good day and failed in all his raids. Deepak in his 6th raid came empty hand. Amit Rathi earned a bonus point for Pune. Wazir was shown yellow card taking him out for 2 minutes after he revives in to the court. Amit Hooda had an empty raid. Gurvinder earned their 28th point. Mahipal Narwal tackled superbly. Sandeep Narwal was super tackled taking Pune to double digit point for the first time in 32nd minute. Gurvidner was also super tackled in his next raid. This was Ravi’s second super tackle.
For wrong revival a technical point was allotted to Patna. Wazir repeated his unsuccessful raid again. At the technical time out Patna were leading 31-12. Sandeep jumped and earned a raid point. Sanjay had an empty raid followed by super tackle of Sandeep Narwal again. Loon ranted a super raid and all out often for the third time to take Patna to a formidable lead of 38-15. Next Pune tackled Sandeep Narwal and moved to 17 the least points earned by any time so for this season. Sanjay earned a super raid 3 points taking Pune to 20. Amit Hooda was touched and finally Patna got emphatic 38-21 victory.
