The last ATP 1000 masters is underway at Cincinnati and day 2 featured the Swiss Roger Federer in action. Top seeds like David Ferrer and Kei Nishikori has withdrawn from the tournament which makes the tourney a little bit competitive. Day two also featured top seeds like Tomas Berdych, Marin Cilic in action.

Roger Federer after missing out the Rogers cup was up and ready for the action at Cincinnati. The Swiss who is chasing for his seventh Cincinnati title was off to a good start defeating the Spaniard Roberto Bautista Agut in straight sets 6-4, 6-4

However, Federer didn’t play a completely dominating match but was good enough to book a spot in the third round. Federer’s first serve percentage was poor maintaining just 43 %. But the Swiss managed to win most of the first serve points. Federer broke the Spaniard twice in ten attempts which was good enough for the Swiss to seal a comfortable victory.
